Allied Media, publisher of the Otago Daily Times, has won a best in category award at this year’s Pride In Print Awards.
The publisher won the overall Publications — Newspapers category for an edition of the ODT (February 17, 2025).
‘‘Despite very tight deadline pressures and with presses ticking over at about 35,000 copies per hour, this traditional broadsheet with multiple sections has been produced in vibrant colours, in great registration — a fantastic paper,’’ the judges said.
Allied Media also won four gold medals in the Publications category for two editions of the ODT (February 17, 2025; November 18, 2025), Southern Holiday Destinations and The Weekend Mix (May 31, 2025).
Allied Media chief executive Grant McKenzie said he was incredibly proud of the team’s success at the awards.
‘‘This recognition reflects the skill, dedication and passion our people bring to their work every day. Winning at this level is a testament to our commitment to quality and excellence, and it is especially pleasing to see our efforts acknowledged by our industry peers.’’
Well done to our printing and production teams who work around the clock to bring the Otago Daily Times to our readers.
